I had a dream last night that I lost my arm. I was just laying down and it came off somehow. The weird thing was there was a hand at both ends of the arm so apparently I had a hand under my shoulder. My last few days have been OUCH! The initial pain was just fine, but once my 12 hour nerve block wore off I was not a happy camper. I'm still not. And I'm up at 5:50, which is weird (my bed frame is so squeaky that typing is making it squeak) I don't really sleep well because I have such a limited range of motion and I keep waking up and my meds ( Read more... )

The knee pain isn't nearly as bad as last time. I'm bored, though. Anyone recommend any movies or TV shows? I have quite a bit of sitting around drugged up to do.

So knee surgery tomorrow. I haven't really been thinking about it much, trying to not really process that information. I'm not so happy about it. I wish it didn't have to be this way. I found out this morning I have a full tear of the ACL in my left knee (and some slight damage to the LCL) I didn't tear cartilage so it is alright for me to wait until the summer to get it fixed if I want (which I do want) So long as I'm not super active on it. Looks like I have quite the exciting summer to look forward to.

Oh God Oh God Oh God!!! This is some cruel joke! The sports doctor at my school that i visited today thinks that I have a torn ACL and cartiledge on my left knee now. WHAT THE FUCK?!? I went to an ortopedist and he told me no such thing! I just want to crawl up in a little hole right now. This is terrible. I'm getting an MRI tomorrow.

So I went skiing. First time since the knee surgery. It went great! My knee hurt a lot to begin with, which was quite unexpected. It never hurts in ordinary life, but I suppose adding a ski makes a difference. I was pretty much able to do everything I used to be able to do after some warm up.
